Please note, we require at least 2 full payment months’ notice for cancelling your share – this is because we rely on the financial stability to make growing and financial plans for the months ahead. Asking for 2 months notice gives us enough time to hopefully find someone else to take your place in the scheme.
If you were hoping to leave in less than 2 months, please contact Ali so that we can start a discussion about your leaving date. In exceptional cases it may be possible to negotiate on this notice period.
To cancel your share subscription, please start by contacting Ali with the date you would like to collect your last share, at least two full payment months in the future. Your direct debit should stay in place at this stage. Ali will reply to confirm your final collection date and to give details of when to cancel your direct debit.
Remaining a social member of the project
It is likely you pay your social membership fee in your monthly share direct debit. If you wish to remain a social member of Canalside, you will need to switch to an annual standing order when your monthly direct debit ends. Please let Ali know about this and she will advise you how to do this.
