![]() Vegetables - Shares
Our aim is to produce vegetable shares for 52 weeks a year. You will receive a weekly share of whatever is harvested throughout the year, according to whether you have subscribed to a Large or Small share (see Prices). Examples of what you could receive in your weekly share throughout the year are below (please note that these are not definitive lists, just guidelines for you and targets for us). Both Large and Small shares will receive the same produce, just in different quantities. There may be times when there is not enough of each veg to go in each box every week, so some weeks the Small shares may receive something the Large shares do not, and vice versa. We will, however, keep records of what goes into each box each week and ensure that throughout the year things are shared out evenly. The most important thing for you to be aware of is that as we will only be providing what we can grow here on the farm, you may notice quite a difference in the quantity of your weekly share throughout the year. For example, a veg share in August is going to be both larger and more diverse than a share in, say, May. This is simply because there are obviously times of the year where produce is more abundant due to warmer weather. In terms of the value of your veg, however, this should balance out over the year - where a large share in May may well be worth less than £12, in August it could be worth almost double this.
